Global Warming - Maybe Not...

Since national and local media seem to glom on to any story about record hot weather and call it Global Warming or Climate Change, I just thought I'd do the same - but in reverse. Some evidence even points toward Global Cooling versus Global Warming.

The info below is from the National Weather Service about June being "...UNUSUALLY WET AND COOL JUNE FOR CENTRAL PARK...".

Is MDA For You?

I've been a Mountain Dew lover since my MaMaw gave it to me as a kid. In fact, some argue I'm addicted. It's an older song, but still hilarious for those of us that have to have our MD fix.

Thanks to KJ-52 for writing it and thanks to the poster of the YouTube video.

God's Chisel

How do you view yourself? This should change your perspective.

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Psalm 139:13-15 (ESV)

Daily Poll Tracking Made Easy

While there seems to be no end to the polls available during a normal election season, finding polls these days can be difficult. Gallup has made that easier with the widget I've embedded here.

Of particular note, President Obama's Approval Rating appears to finally be normalizing after the initial hoopla has worn off. But, the mainstream media outlets will probably not report on this.

TOTUS - Teleprompter of The United States

If you know me, you know I'm not particularly fond of MSNBC and the other alphabet network news organizations. However, the Today show recently did a story on TOTUS that, while done tongue-in-cheek, hits closer to the truth than I thought they would ever go.

Enjoy a laugh:

Durango Bagel & Coffee Shop

If you've known me long enough, you'll know that my favorite place to get coffee is Durango Bagel. The Starbucks addicts reading this are probably hyperventilating over the fact that I choose a local shop over Starbucks. Well, there is a reason for that. Starbucks coffee is good, but Durango's is GREAT.

The other reason I like Durango is their bagels. They make bagels on site daily which means they are exceptionally fresh. Have you ever wondered how bagels are made? Wayne Wingate - owner of Durango Bagel shows us below.

Even better? Grab your laptop, head to Durango Bagel, get a bagel and coffee and watch the video using the free Wi-Fi hotspot.
